Photographic Travels in India with Premgit

Bamboo Forest

Photograph of Bamboo Forest, Nowapara, West Bengal

Our travels in India this year took us to a couple of favourite places.

Kolhapur, to photograph the amazing Mud Pit Wrestlers, and Varanasi, just to photograph.
Of course, we did our yearly pilgrimage for Shivratri in Madhya Pradesh as well, but we also went to a place called Tarapith in West Bengal. Here we spent our time between photographing in the fearsome Maa Tara Temple and walking in the idyllic rural countryside of Nowapara, only a ten minute walk away from town.

I have stayed with my main theme of Ritual Worship, some of which are included in the “new work” section of my website. I will have a bigger selection at my shows, if you are keen to see more.

Here is a link to the shows that I am exhibiting at this year where you will be able to see the silver gelatin prints in reality!
The venues remain the same as last year, with Henley on Thames and Bury St Edmunds for the November Christmas Markets.
I hope to see you at one of them.
