Workshop, Event & Meditation Descriptions

Bardic Tantra with Madhuri

There is the Tantra of being drunk on touch, and watching…and the Tantra of being drunk on a love letter, or music, or hearing someone purr…and watching. We are going to play with words, dance, and…yes, letting our bodies find the embraces that arise then naturally.

A Lively Taste of Death with Archa

A taster session of workshop on Letting go into Living and Dying
For anyone who is interested in exploring how their own death and the death of others affects our lives now. This is a chance to get a flavour of this beautiful meditative workshop in a gentle way. Suitable for anyone dying in the next 90 years!

Ageless Vitality with Kimaya Crolla-Younger

Many of us believe that our desirability and our enjoyment peak and then inevitably wane, and I don’t believe this is true. The Inner Child is a part of us, that never ages…our engine of aliveness, not dependent on being a certain age. Discover the deep enjoyment of embodied aliveness; an aliveness that includes our young self, with movement, solo and partner practices and an inner child meditation.

Biodanza with Milarepa

Biodanza is a movement based system of human development and integration which was created in South America in the 1960s. It offers an amazing opportunity to delve into the heart of the human experience and allows us to really connect with ourselves and those around us at a deeply authentic level. Great music too!

Trance Dance with Archan

Trance dance is a natural way to experience ecstasy. A shamanic journey through ceremony, breath, and dance. It is simple but also profound. We will have some fun and laughter at the beginning.

Comedy Improv with Prabuddho

We will warm up with fun, interactive games and then try some simple, playful Improv comedy exercises – moving into a space where we are enjoying the moment. Our creative juices will start to flow, and laughter may happen spontaneously and frequently. Results include: an improved ability to respond to new situations, more confidence in self-presentation, and more playfulness in life. No previous experience is necessary – less is better! There will be an opportunity to showcase some of these fun structures in the Saturday night show (optional but a lot of fun!)

Who is in? with Smaran

This is a Western Zen partner exercise, taking turns at self-enquiry using exactly this question from Ramana Maharshi, “Tell me who you are”, or Osho’s version, “Tell me who is in”. This is one of the basic processes that Osho gave to nearly every meditator in the early days.

Shiatsu with Rajan

This will be an opportunity to give and receive simple and deeply relaxing shiatsu techniques, mainly focusing on your partner’s back and shoulders. Learning to use your body weight while palming your partner’s back, some rocking techniques to relax the whole body, and some simple stretches.

Finding your Voice – Finding your Song with Satyam

Everyone has a song in their heart. This workshop is an invitation to you all –  great singers, bathroom singers, car singers and ‘I-can’t-sing’-ers –  to share your courage and sense of fun, explore your unique voices and create some wonderful new songs –  together and alone.

Paint & Play with Mala & Ushapa

Come and play, exploring your creativity through paint and music. Let your inner critics and judgments be as they are and watch the transformation take place as you let your unique self make your mark!

Heart Dance with Yatro & Satyam

Heart Dances are lighthearted and easy-to-learn circle dances, with constantly changing partners, to finish the festival with the eyes filled with the language of the heart, connecting with fellow meditators with the warmth of appreciation and hands spread in a gesture of joy and friendliness.

Saturday Night Show

Creativity, talent and a lot of laughs…

Little Red Riding Hood Retold
A scene from the hilarious rendition of Little Red Ridinghood Retold – part of the show on the final evening of last year’s festival.

Meditations

Daily Dynamic and Kundalini meditation.

… we have Satsang, Evening Meeting and Nataraj meditations with live music from our wonderful band, Sattva (Tarisha, Manu, Suvarna, Prabodh)
Osho’s Satsang meditation is a sitting meditation with music, silence, humming, and Osho’s words.

Osho’s Nataraj meditation is 40 minutes wild and total dance, 20 minutes silent lying down, 5 minutes dancing from the silence.

Osho’s Evening Meeting meditation, also called “White Robe” meditation, is 20 – 25 minutes of high energy music to dance to, rising to a peak; 15 minutes of music and silence, really a short form of the satsang meditation above; and 30 – 45 minutes listening to Osho talking.
